Vaccination for children 5 – under 12 years old: Ho Chi Minh City has received 87,500 doses of the first batch
Mr. Nguyen Hong Tam, deputy executive director of the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control (HCDC), said that Ho Chi Minh City has received 87,500 doses of the first vaccine for children 5 to under 12 years old.
This morning (April 15), the Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh City held an online meeting on vaccination for children 5 to under 12 years old in the city to prepare for tomorrow’s vaccination session.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Tam said the implementation of vaccination will start from the morning of April 16.

Up to now, HCDC has trained 7,500 people to support vaccination at 1,322 injection points in 24 districts, Thu Duc city. The 115 emergency center will also have options ready to handle incidents that occur during injection.
According to Mr. Tam, the number of F0 children in HCMC in this age group is 39,427. Children who recover after 3 months will be able to receive the Covid-19 vaccine.
It is expected that on the first day, the vaccination campaign will be carried out at some primary school, Secondary School in District 1, District 5, District 10, Phu Nhuan District. After that, from April 18, Ho Chi Minh City will organize simultaneously, according to the principle of vaccinating students in the older grades first, later in the younger grades, and up to 5-year-old preschoolers. The expected injection rate is 50 children/injection table/session.
