Moving to Antelope Canyon

Antelope Canyon is located about a 10-minute drive from the town of Page in Coconino County (Arizona state). It takes about 5 hours to drive from Las Vegas to Page and from Phoenix to about 4 and a half hours.

The town of Page is just 5km from Antelope Canyon and has a wide selection of hotels and restaurants. If you come to Page late in the afternoon and do not have time to buy an Antelope Canyon tour, you can stay at Page or visit nearby places. Choose a tour

You can choose a normal sightseeing tour or a photo tour, the tour companies will take you to the same place. However, the tour duration will vary, the normal sightseeing tour will last about 60 minutes and the photography tour will take about 120 minutes. Should I book a tour in advance?

To get into Antelope Canyon, everyone 8 years and older has to pay an $8 fee, after which you’ll purchase the tour that fits your plan. Peak season is from March to October, during this period, you should book a tour as early as possible, at least two months in advance if you want to buy a photography tour. If you do not book in advance, when you come here, there is a high chance that there will not be a tour available.

Some note

– Tour companies in Antelope Canyon do not allow you to bring backpacks, crossbody bags, photo sticks, Gopro equipment, food and drinks inside. You can only bring a water bottle, phone and camera.

– Please bring closed-toe shoes and wear layers of clothing. Apply lots of sunscreen, bring a hat or scarf to avoid sand. If you wear contact lenses, consider opting for eyeglasses instead. You should also bring camera film to prevent sand from getting into the camera.

– Do not write, draw or engrave on the stone veins. If caught, you will be severely fined.
