Apple joins the race to release gamepads?

With the development of technology and phones becoming as powerful as miniature computers, playing games on smartphones has become more and more popular.

Information from Patently Apple said that the Cupertino giant is planning to enter another niche in the game industry, which is the release of game controllers.

Accordingly, on August 27, 2021, Apple filed a patent related to a type of gaming accessory capable of attaching to mobile devices with a magnet. This patent was granted by the US Patent and Trademark Office and the European Patent Office on March 31, 2022.

The product description image shows that the Apple-registered accessory has a compact design that easily attaches to mobile devices for the purpose of improving gaming functionality. Accessories can connect to many devices such as phones and tablets.

Also, Apple seems to be experimenting with a number of different designs. In it, a version has a design similar to the Joy-Con controller of the Nintendo Switch game console.

Design another accessory similar to the screen case and the included control hardware cluster. This secondary screen is responsible for expanding the display space for statistics, in-game stats… and providing more virtual controllers in case of need.
