A confirmed case of COVID-19 (F0) is one of the following:

Being a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 by RT-PCR

A person with clinical symptoms and a positive antigen test result for COVID-19.

Be a person with epidemiological factors and have a positive antigen test result for COVID-19.

Close contact (F1) is one of the following:

Persons having direct physical contact (shaking hands, hugging, kissing, direct skin-to-body contact…) with confirmed cases during the transmission period of F0.

A person wearing a mask has contact, communicate within 1 meter or in the same narrow, closed space and for at least 15 minutes with F0 in the transmission period.

People without masks having close contact, communicating within 1 meter or being in the same narrow, closed space with F0 are in the transmission period.

Persons who directly care for, examine and treat F0 while in the period of steady transmission without using personal protective equipment as prescribed.

F0, F1 all implement epidemic prevention measures according to regulations

According to the Ministry of Health, all surveillance cases (suspected cases) and confirmed cases (F0) are all subject to infection prevention, isolation, testing, treatment and care measures as prescribed. of the Ministry of Health.

For F1, within 10 days from the date of last contact with F0 in the transmission period, F1 must seriously take the following measures:

Ensure measures to prevent infection: wear a mask, regularly wash hands with soap and clean water/quick hand sanitizer solution, limit close contact with others, especially avoid contact with people at risk high, seriously ill people; do not share items in daily life, work or study; Avoid going to crowded places.

When having a positive result for COVID-19, they must immediately notify the local health facility for advice, care, treatment and implementation of infection prevention and control measures as prescribed.

According to the Ministry of Health, this new guideline replaces the instructions in Official Letter 11042 dated December 29, 2021 and Official Dispatch 762 of the Ministry of Health on the contents related to the adjustment of the COVID-19 case definition. medical isolation for COVID-19 cases and close contacts.
