Honda Vision’s rival strongly upgrades the popular scooter segment

Despite electric vehicles being a trend, motorcycle manufacturers in Vietnam, including the two big giants Honda and Yamaha, have not yet made a move to launch electric models to the market. Instead, these automakers focus on upgrading old models, especially scooters.

In Vietnam, the popular scooter market is quite active. In particular, in recent times, the Vietnamese people’s demand to buy motorbikes to commute to work after the Covid-19 epidemic has increased, helping the motorcycle market to regain its growth momentum after two consecutive quarters of decline.

Honda Vision continuously leads in the popular scooter segment. According to the latest sales figures published by the Vietnam Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers (VAMM), Vision’s sales reached 46,667 units, accounting for 25.8% of Honda Vietnam’s total motorcycle sales in March. 2022.

Vision has direct competitors like the Yamaha Janus or the Piaggio Zip. However, the competition with Honda Vision mainly comes from Yamaha’s Janus model.

In the new 2022 version, Yamaha Janus has notable upgrades, especially in appearance as well as equipment and facilities.
