In 22 days, a 23-year-old Hanoi girl traveled through 24 provinces and cities in Vietnam to “celebrate” her university graduation

“This trip across Vietnam, I have been cherishing for a long time. In 2017, when I was still in my freshman year at university, I went to Ta Xua for the first time, I wished to one day be able to do a trip. It’s a long trip to go to Vietnam, see the beautiful scenery, eat the specialties of the regions on the S-shaped land.”

Trang Pham (born in 1999) has just returned to Hanoi after a 22-day trip, just as she had wished for a long time. Along with her 2 friends, Trang’s group drove the wave for a 4,000 km journey through 24 provinces.

All 3 decided to schedule only the first 7 days to be flexible. Having just finished the course, had a lot of free time, and saved a lot of money, Trang and her 2 friends set off with indescribable excitement and happiness.

“Wind up” for a long trip after graduating from university

Before the trip, Trang confided that she had prepared a lot of things, not only about finances but also about vehicles, clothes, especially physical and mental health. Regarding vehicles, the car was fully maintained, oil changed, brakes checked, tires … even welded with a small iron frame to tie things up for convenience as well as more convenient for refueling.

More sharing page: “A lot of people say directly to me, ‘Only a house can afford it.’ In fact, the cost of this trip I did not ask my parents or borrow anyone, because during my university years, I I work a lot so I can both help my family and be financially independent. Therefore, for the cost of this trip, I can definitely afford it and am always ready. The cost of the whole trip is 20 million VND, but it only costs about 15-16 million VND.”

Before leaving, Trang informed her parents in advance about her upcoming plans. Luckily, 9X’s parents are very supportive of all of my decisions, and don’t forget to tell me that “Drive carefully with vehicles”. It is also a motivation to help Trang herself overcome difficulties along the way. The eagerness to explore new lands “overwhelmed” the little girl’s fear; Instead, Trang worked hard to exercise as well as minimize contact with strangers, because she did not have Covid, so as not to affect the trip as planned.

“I chose March to make my dream trip because at this time, the North is still in a cool period, the Central region has not entered the peak heat wave, the South and Southwest are in the dry season, The weather was very suitable for me to make the trip. Fortunately for 22 days, we did not encounter a single rain on the way or like bad weather.” Page said.

Talking about her 22 schedule, Trang explained: “I prioritize the criteria: “If you are happy, you will play for a long time, if you are not happy, you will not stay”. And especially, the 3 of us prioritize places that have never been visited, focusing on discovering new points, so we had a schedule like this. above.

Besides, we don’t worry too much or put too much emphasis on how to sleep. Through the last trip, we learned a “precious” experience: do not book a room in advance during a long trip. Wherever we go, we are planning to book a room for tomorrow. In my group, fortunately, there was one girl who had the ability to “deal” the room price very well, so we could both rest in a good room and reduce the total cost of the trip a lot.”

Going through new lands, Trang accumulates for herself new experiences that not everyone has the opportunity to experience. During the trip, all three girls always supported and conceded to each other, so there was no conflict. If not satisfied about anything, the group chooses to talk directly to the problem so as not to affect the trip together.

This trip through Vietnam, for Trang, sometimes includes disappointments and scars. Trang happily said, her most memorable memory is when all three are very eager to go to Nga 5 floating market (intersection between Soc Trang and Can Tho), because it is known that it is a floating market imbued with Western culture. . However, when they arrived, everyone was a bit disappointed because the small traders were already selling goods on the mainland.

Another time, when the group moved to the land of Cape Ca Mau, the road was being repaired, so it was quite bad, with many potholes. When the group entered the sandy road, due to not being able to slow down in time, the car fell. Fortunately, all was well, except for Trang, who had torn his pants and slightly scratched his leg.

Besides, the girls also met kind “strangers”. Page tells, “The way to the electric cape in Phu Yen, when we climbed there, we were quite tired, thirsty, wanted to buy water, but suddenly remembered that all of us had left all our money under the car. So the three of us told each other. Just sit there so you don’t get tired.. The uncle selling water on the way to the electric cape, came to buy water, but we were too shy, told him no one brought money.

However, he said it’s okay, you guys just drink it, if you don’t have money, it’s okay, without letting us refuse, he gave us a bottle of cold water to drink. After that, we wanted to ask him if he could use his bank account so that we could transfer the money. You said you don’t use it, if you can, you can go down to the ticket office and send it to me later, it’s okay if you don’t pay it.”

For Trang, he is a stranger, although he does not know who the group is or where they come from, but he is still willing to help and place great trust. Trang feels grateful to the people who appeared on the 4000 km long journey so that every day, 9X learns more lessons about tolerance and how to treat people. On the 22nd day, after arriving in the West, the group returned to Ho Chi Minh City to park their motorbikes and returned to Hanoi by plane.

“Hopefully those who have passion, dream, and desire to once travel around the S-shaped land, continue that dream. I hope our little story will transmit positive energies. Vietnam is so beautiful, go when you’re young!”Page message.
