He immediately planted a dollar tree on this land.

According to Mr. Ha Phuoc, the dollar tree is often propagated from seed, if fertilized, cared for well and watered adequately, it will only take 5-6 months to be taller than a person, and can be harvested. When the tree branches, it is necessary to cut off the buds to feed the branches; when it “stands up” (stubborn) can be harvested. The current price is from around 100,000 VND/kg depending on the size and quality of the leaves. With 1 sao of dollars, it is possible to regularly harvest 4-5 million VND/month.

The dollar tree is less susceptible to pests and diseases because the essential oil scent of this eucalyptus tree has the effect of repelling insects. When the tree is about 5m, the grower will press the top so that the tree does not grow more in height, but focuses on nourishing the branches and leaves. The selling price of dollar branches is quite stable, sometimes traders come to the garden to cut branches, weigh and pay on the spot, so farmers do not have to waste time harvesting, packing and transporting.

Although it is a new species of tree, the economic efficiency is quite high, so Mr. Ha Phuoc has expanded the area of ​​the dollar tree garden from 1 sao to more than 3 sao.
