Before injection, children should eat full, avoid vaccination when children are hungry and after injection should wait 30 minutes at the injection site to monitor post-injection reactions. Prepare pain relievers and fever reducers suitable for children. Depending on the location, children will have different severe and mild reactions. If the child has a high fever that does not respond to fever-reducing drugs, accompanied by some symptoms such as rapid heart rate, shortness of breath, weakness, etc., they should be taken to a medical facility immediately. Need to continue to closely monitor health of children from 3-7 days after vaccination.

According to the Ministry of Health, about 8.2 million children 5-11 years old nationwide are about to get vaccinated against COVID-19. Two vaccines used to inject young children, Moderna and Pfizer, both follow mRNA technology, so the post-injection response is similar.
