As a guest on The Howard Stern Show, Amy Schumer – one of the three main MCs of the Oscars 2022 – shared: “The reason Chris Rock You can stand there getting slapped in the face and still keep your cool to give your friend Questlove an award because he’s a comedian.”
Schumer believes that the things Rock feared happened on stage that caused him to almost have a reduced emotional response to a negative stimulus. Therefore, after Will Smith’s slap, Rock was only slightly surprised, not shocked.

Also during the conversation, Schumer said he received death threats when joking about Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons on the Oscar stage. She confirmed that the scene was completely pre-made and approved by the Academy.
“The deal was that I would pretend to mistake her for a filler. We scripted this joke together. But then I got death threats,” the actress said.
After Schumer’s share, the host of The Howard Stern Show asked again: “I still don’t understand the problem. Why are you threatened with death?” The comedian replied: “They blamed me, ‘Who do you think you are to be so disrespectful to Kirsten Dunst?'”.
Schumer said the death threats were so serious that the Los Angeles police and Secret Service had to begin an investigation.
