According to the vaccination plan, Hanoi has more than 1 million vaccinated children aged 5 – under 12 years old. Ms. Tran Thi Nhi Ha – Director of the Hanoi Department of Health said that this vaccination round is expected to take place in about 10 days.

The Capital Health Sector has mobilized all Grade I, Grade II and City hospitals to participate in the response at vaccination points. More than 10,000 students from 5 to under 12 years old in Ho Chi Minh City have been vaccinated against COVID-19

So far, there have been 3 localities that have administered the COVID-19 vaccine to children from 5 to under 12 years old: Quang Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. From April 18, other provinces and cities will conduct injections for children of this age.

According to the Department of Preventive Medicine, there are more than 11.8 million children between the ages of 5 and under 12 who are vaccinated against COVID-19, but in this period, 8.2 million children have not been infected with COVID-19. 19 will inject. The vaccines given to children in this age group are Moderna and Pfizer. The average number of community COVID-19 cases is 19,000 cases/day

Statistics from the Ministry of Health on April 16 showed that the number of new cases of COVID-19 decreased to 18,474. This is the day with the lowest number of cases in the past 70 days in our country, from February 6.

Localities with high cumulative infections in this outbreak: Hanoi (1,532,405), Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City (606,199), Nghe An (475,228), Binh Duong (382,552), Bac Giang (379,817).

According to the Ministry of Health in Vietnam, the epidemic is basically under control nationwide. The number of community cases averaged 19,000 cases/day and the average number of deaths was 25 cases/day in the past 7 days. On April 16 alone, the number of deaths was 10 cases, the lowest in more than half a year.
