At about 20:00 on the same day, Team 1 discovered 3 subjects carrying 3 large sacks from across the border, about 180 m from the People’s Committee of Tan Khanh Hoa Commune, Giang Thanh District, Kien Giang Province. Immediately, the working group began to intercept. Taking advantage of the dark night and the terrain of the canals, the three subjects abandoned three sacks and fled to the other side of the border. Officials checked, in 3 sacks contained 1,400 packs of cigarettes.

At 9:10 p.m., at the same border crossing as mentioned above, task force No. 2 discovered 3 subjects carrying 3 sacks, holding electric whips and long-handled knives. However, with the spirit of determination to suppress criminals, the working group still deployed a hunting squad.

Discovering the border guards, the three subjects threw away 3 sacks, used electric whips and long-handled knives to fight fiercely and then fled to the other border. Through inspection, in 3 sacks contained 1,400 packs of cigarettes.

The case was quickly reported by the Command of Giang Thanh to the Border Guard Command of Kien Giang province for advice and direction, and investigated and handled according to the law.
