The perch has now become a specialty in the city and is sought after by many people. However, it is really difficult to find a bunch of field perch in the markets, mainly industrial farmed fish. Although industrial perch meat is not as delicious as field perch, it is not firm and has the inherent flavor of field perch, but it is still selling well in markets. Many women buy them to prepare rustic country dishes for their families.

Ms. Trang Anh said that in addition to retailing, she also imports perch for a number of shops selling perch soup in Hanoi. “This fish is a type of perch, but it is not in the wild, but it is raised by people in my hometown and sold to the market.
