Weather forecast April 17: Heavy rain in the North, strong cold air

Due to the influence of cold air combined with the convergence of winds above 1500m, from last night to April 18, in the Northwest and Viet Bac areas, there was moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, in some places very heavy rain.

In the Northeast, the Northern Delta and the North Central Coast, there are showers and thunderstorms, with moderate to heavy rain locally. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds.

Risk of flash floods, landslides in mountainous provinces and inundation in low-lying areas.

In the North, from now until April 19, it will turn cold with the lowest temperature commonly from 16-19 degrees, the mountains from 13-16 degrees. In the North Central region, from the night of April 17-19 it turns cold with the lowest temperature from 18-20 degrees.
