Previously, at the second meeting on April 12, the National Wage Council agreed to finalize the proposal to increase the regional minimum wage by 6% from July 1, 2022 to submit to the Government.

Accordingly, the regional minimum wage in four regions, if approved by the Government, will increase in turn as follows: Region 1 will increase by 260,000 VND, from 4.42 million VND to 4.68 million VND; region 2 increased by 240,000 VND, from 3.92 million VND to 4,160 million VND; region 3 increased by 210,000 VND, from 3.43 million VND to 3.64 million VND; Region 4 increased by 180,000 VND, from 3.07 million VND to 3,250 million VND.

Mr. Thanh said: “This is not a high increase, but it ensures the concessions of the parties. Workers have the conditions to improve their lives somewhat after a long time of difficulties due to Covid-19.
