Shanghai strives to solve logistics bottlenecks

“The biggest bottleneck right now for foreign companies is the lack of truck drivers transporting goods to and from the port of Shanghai. The delay is usually around two weeks, and for some companies, they are. felt the need to close some of the production lines,” said Wang Dan, chief economist at Hang Seng Bank.

In order to support domestic sourcing, Shanghai authorities are working to overcome bottlenecks in logistics and help platforms ecommerce increase production and transportation capacity.

To date, a total of 42 warehouses not affected by the epidemic of e-commerce platforms in Shanghai have reopened, with more than 18,000 drivers delivering about 1.8 million orders per day.
