According to the clip, after sending the car, TikToker “Dicungthy” and a friend moved inside the pedestrian street when they met a man who invited a boat to visit the old town for 50,000 VND/person.

Following the man to the marina, the two were told by a woman waiting for guests here that a 20-minute boat ride on Hoai River was 100,000 VND/2 people. This woman further suggested that if you row across An Hoi Bridge to move to the Cau Chua area, visitors have to pay an additional 50,000 VND. The total trip of two people is 150,000 VND.

When tourists agree to the above price and get on the boat, the boatman uses the reason that the water is high, the vehicle cannot pass through An Hoi Bridge to move to the Covered Bridge. At this time, TikToker “Dicungthy” sympathized and accepted to lose 50,000 VND.

However, near the end of the boat tour, the two tourists noticed that the water level in the river was low and the surrounding boats could pass through the An Hoi Bridge to reach the area of Chua Covered Bridge. Because they wanted to go to the Covered Bridge, tourists repeatedly offered to be taken away, but the boatman “ignored”.

It is worth mentioning, when both tourists disembark and continue to walk, they constantly receive invitations to take a boat from other vehicle owners and the price offered is much lower than the amount they spent to experience. before (only 30,000 VND/person).

Angered by spending more money to take a boat to visit the Covered Bridge but not being met, TikToker “Dicungthy” posted a video on social networks. The clip immediately attracted the attention and comments of the online community. By noon on April 18, this clip had received nearly 150,000 interactions, thousands of shares and many comments.

The Department of Urban Management of Hoi An City confirmed that the unit has received the information and is coordinating with the self-managed swimming boat team of Minh An ward to handle it.

According to the preliminary report of the self-managed swimming boat team in Minh An ward, the owner of the boat did not have the act of “hacking” the price of the boat service to bring visitors. However, in the process of negotiating the service between the vehicle owner and the tourist, the boat owner was wrong to collect an additional 50,000 VND from the guest but did not take the guest to the place he introduced earlier.

The Urban Management Department and the self-managed swimming boat team of Minh An ward will work with the accused boat owner to have a solution.
