The Mirror reported that on April 14, local police received an emergency call to a hotline to report two women falling into the water at Pink Caves in the Catherine Hill Bay area. Central Coast, New South Wales, Australia.
Australian media reported that New South Wales State Police were called to a location south of Catherine Hill Bay at around 12:30pm on April 14.

Two women were swept into the water by the waves. One of the women got stuck on the rock and suffered only minor injuries, but the other died shortly after being found.
Rescuers tried their best and tried as quickly as possible to bring the victim to the shore with a jet ski. They tried CPR for the second woman to be rescued, but she was confirmed dead.
In a statement, police said: “One of the women was pushed against the cliff by the waves, with minor injuries. A 26-year-old man jumped into the water to rescue a second woman, but he also had problems underwater. Lifeguards rescued both of them on a jet ski and brought them to Moonee Beach, located some distance south of the Pink Caves. The identity of the deceased victim has not yet been released.”
The surviving woman was taken by ambulance to John Hunter Hospital for a medical examination with bruises and abrasions. The man who jumped to the rescue was treated at the scene with minor scratches.
