Truck crashes into gas pump after collision with container truck

On the morning of April 18, functional forces of Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with the Traffic Police to handle the scene and investigate the cause of the traffic accident that caused a truck to crash into the gas station on locality.

Around 3 am on the same day, a heavy truck with a license plate of Thanh Hoa province circulated on National Highway 1A in the direction of An Suong overpass in District 12 to Binh Dien Bridge, Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City.

When coming to the section near the intersection of Intersection 4-5, Binh Hung Hoa B ward (Binh Tan district, Ho Chi Minh City), a collision with a container truck was stopped waiting for a red light ahead. The collision caused the truck to lose control and rush through the intersection, knocking down the traffic light and then crashing into a petrol station on the side of the road, knocking down two fuel pumps.

Due to the empty road at the time of the accident, the gas station also had no customers, so fortunately there were no casualties. At the scene, the front of the truck was badly damaged, two fuel pump poles were knocked down, and the traffic lights were damaged.

Upon receiving the news, the Binh Tan District Police Department coordinated with the Traffic Police and Fire Prevention Police at the scene to handle the incident and prevent fire.

Cause of the accident is under investigation.
