I am not pessimistic even though I have many diseases

Recently, the actor made many viewers regret when he announced his farewell to his acting career after many years of attachment. PV Vietnamese people had a conversation with him about his current life as well as his concerns with the profession.

After a long time being hospitalized for heart disease, how is your current health?

– I have been discharged from the hospital and am continuing to receive treatment at home. In the short term, the doctor prescribed me drugs to treat and monitor the progress of the disease. If drugs can’t respond, then I have to resort to invasive methods. However, these are just small procedures, not surgery as some other newspapers have reported before.

Actually, 4 years ago, I found out that I had a congenital heart defect, after having symptoms of chest pain and going to the doctor. At that time, the doctor said my condition was not dangerous. However, at the present time, when I am over 50 years old, my health has decreased a lot, so the disease has a chance to surround me. When I entered the hospital, according to the diagnosis, I had an arrhythmia, the medical term called ventricular extrasystoles.

Is that also the reason why you decided to break up with the acting career after many years of attachment?

– Right. My current health conditions make it impossible for me to exercise vigorously, nor have access to too much information, which can create negative emotions. I think it’s time for me to part with my career, because I can’t keep up with the intensity of working in film crews. In fact, since 4 years ago, I have also focused on writing scripts instead of acting.

Having acted in more than 80 films and been highly appreciated by many TV viewers with the ability to take on the villains, looking back on the past journey, are you satisfied with what you have done? Which role left the most impression on you?

– What am I most satisfied with? Maybe that’s why I’ve always tried my best, even though I’ve never been to the top. I give my best to the roles, the movies I participate in, and the audience. There are things that don’t work out the way I want, there are things that I aspire to have not been achieved, but anyway I have done my job fully.

Each role I participate in has its own color, its own imprint. I’m not really satisfied with any of the roles, but I respect and love them all.

In a previous interview, he once said that he was a man who failed in both his career and personal life. Did the breakdowns make you think a lot and carry a sick mind?

– Well not really. Part of the reason may be because I often have a habit of staying up late to write, leading to the wrong circadian rhythm. This doesn’t matter much when young, but by the age of 50, things start to change.

In fact, I’m not a person who is often tormented by the past. I am a religious person, believing that everything is according to God’s will. When God has arranged it, how can we change it? Up to now, despite many illnesses, I still remain optimistic and do not want people to talk about this much. I still have many brothers, good friends, still have a lot of work to do, and I am luckier than many people.

How do you and your 13-year-old daughter take care of each other these days?

– My daughter has grown up, she can go to school by herself, come home, she can cook for her father. In addition, my friends often go back and forth to help the family. Nothing is too difficult for the time being.

After retiring, have your plans with the job changed a lot? Does not acting make you worry about the long way to raise your daughter in the future?

– Currently, I am putting aside all work to focus on treatment. After that, I will complete the script as well as other work in the film projects promised to the partner, and then think about more distant stories.
