According to initial information, at the above time, the ship Truong Nguyen 68 was being repaired at Hop Tien Thanh Company, Hop Thanh commune, when the ship’s hatch exploded.

The explosion broke the ship’s wall, and two workers who were working on the deck were seriously injured. On the way to the hospital, both died.

It is known that the Truong Nguyen 68 ship with a tonnage of 5,000 DWT was in the repair phase, which was almost completed, when the incident occurred. The ship has 2 compartments, where the explosion occurred is the rear compartment, adjacent to the driver’s cabin.

The identities of the two dead workers were identified as Mr. NVT (40 years old, residing in Hop Thanh commune) and Mr. NVK (51 years old, residing in Quoc Tuan commune), both from An Duong district, Hai Phong city.

Currently, authorities are investigating, clarifying the explosion of gas in the ship’s tunnel that killed two workers.
