Dai An Bridge has just been newly decorated to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Dong Ha city, Quang Tri province, but many people “badly criticized” for its strange design.

In recent days, social networks have been stirred up by the fact that Dai An Bridge (on Hung Vuong Street, Ward 5, Dong Ha City, Quang Tri) was decorated with strange items, causing confusion for the visibility of traffic participants.

On both sides of the railing of Dai An Bridge, hundreds of stainless steel bars painted in light yellow color, the top of the stainless steel bars painted in red looks like a match. The stainless steel bars are located about 40 cm apart, are connected, fixed to the bridge railing and the top of the bar extends to the surface of Dai An lake. The stainless steel bars are divided into 3 segments, in which the middle segment is higher than the other 2 segments.

Up to now, the above item has not been completed, but many people in Dong Ha city criticize it because the design looks “painful”.

The decoration of Dai An Bridge is invested by the Center for Industrial Development of Industrial Promotion Services and Public Services of Dong Ha City with a budget of more than 1.5 billion VND, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of liberation. Dong Ha City (April 28, 1972 – April 28, 2022).

The ends of the stainless steel bars lean towards the surface of Dai An Lake

Talking to a reporter from Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Phan Xuan Hung, Director of the Center for Industrial Development of Industrial Promotion Services and Public Services in Dong Ha City, said that the new stainless steel rods were installed on both sides of Dai Dai bridge. An will install the lights but have not installed them yet. When fitted with lights, at night the light from these stainless steel bars will reflect on the surface of Dai An Lake. Below the railing will also install other lights, reflected on the bridge. The two ends of the bridge will have 2 large columns, on which there will be 2 light balls and a led light system.

“When completed, this lighting system will make the bridge more beautiful at night. Now we focus on completing this work item, if there is a defect later, we will advise and propose correction” – Mr. Hung said.
