Many people believe that this arises due to the emulation score calculation of the education sector when taking the exam results into 10 high schools to evaluate emulation or ranking schools, and schools may also take exam scores into 10 high schools. to evaluate emulation for teachers (depending on the results of the 10th test scores of students in their class).

However, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training once affirmed that the Department did not include the results of the 10th grade entrance exam into the emulation evaluation criteria for units. The policy of Hanoi city that has been maintained for many years is to create the most favorable conditions for all eligible and aspirational students to participate in the 10th grade public high school entrance exam.

Head of Education Department must be responsible if there is a situation of ‘forcing students not to take the 10th grade exam’

This morning, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training has also directed to request the Heads of Education and Training Departments of districts, towns to review, check, verify, and strictly handle the above situation; at the same time, thoroughly understand and direct in writing to all secondary schools in the area to immediately stop mobilizing and propagating students who do not register for the 10th grade exam in this school year and subsequent school years.

The heads of the Department of Education and Training must be held responsible if the above phenomenon occurs.

According to the Department of Education and Training, studying and registering for admission to high schools are the rights and needs of students and students’ parents. In the streamlining work after the lower secondary level, the school must orient the students clearly so that they can make a suitable, non-coercive choice.
