Nearly doubled the target, added 1 new industry
This year, the Academy plans to enroll 2,200 candidates (compared to 1350 in 2021), take more than 50% of the candidates by the method of international certification and open a new major, Asia-Pacific Studies.
Accordingly, the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam enrolls students in 2022 by 5 methods: Direct admission and Priority admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (3%); Combined entrance examination for International Certificates and High School Results (52%); Admission is based on high school results (15%). Admission is based on the Results of the High School Graduation Exam in 2022 (25%) and Admission is based on the High School Results and Interview (5%). In which each recruitment method has its own criteria. In case one method does not recruit enough criteria, the remaining number of criteria will be transferred to other methods.
In addition, the Diplomatic Academy’s International Communication major from this year will be divided into two specialized training branches: International Marketing Communication and Professional International Communication. Students will be able to choose 1 of 2 specializations to study.

For the method of Admission that combines International Certificates and High School Results, candidates need to have IELTS Academic score of 6.0 or higher or TOEFL iBT of 70 points, SAT from 1200 and ACT from 25 points. For the French Certificate, candidates need a DELF – B1 or higher or a TCF of 300 points. In addition, candidates can use other Certificates for admission, such as HS4 Chinese Certificate (score of 270), Korean Language Certificate Topik 3 or higher and Japanese Certificate of N3 or higher.
Last year, Diplomatic Academy’s International Communication major had the highest benchmark score of 27.9.
