On the afternoon of April 20, Quang Nam Provincial Police had official information about the case of a body with bound hands and feet discovered in the Go Tre river (Tam Thang commune, Tam Ky city) this morning.

According to the police, the victim is Mr. Huynh Xuoc (52 years old, residing in Tam Thang commune). Xoc’s house is about 2km from the place where the body was discovered.

Authorities conducted an investigation and autopsy on the afternoon of April 20.

The autopsy results showed that Mr. Xoc died in a position where his thighs were tied by a parachute cord, his arms were tied with ropes wrapped behind his back (not tied tightly). In addition, the victim’s mouth was covered with a black rubber band.

The medical examiner’s office determined that the 52-year-old man died of asphyxiation, the time of death was from the evening of April 19 to the dawn of the next day.

Quang Nam Provincial Police added that Mr. Xuoc suffered from epilepsy since childhood, took psychiatric drugs regularly, and left home at noon on April 19. In the past, Mr. Xuoc had committed suicide many times but was discovered by his family in time and saved his life.

As reported, more than 8 am this morning (April 20), people discovered Mr. Xoc’s body floating on the Go Tre river, so they brought it to the shore and reported it to the police.

At the time of discovery, the victim was wearing a blue T-shirt and black shorts. In addition to having his hands and feet tied, the victim was also gagged with a piece of string.
