On April 20, the leader of Quang Nam Provincial Police said that he was investigating the cause of death of a man discovered on the Go Tre river (the section through Tam Thang commune, Tam Ky city).
The man’s body was gagged, bound, and floated in the river.
According to initial information, around 8:15 a.m. on the same day, local people suddenly discovered the body of a man tied up, floating on the Go Tre River (which flows to Ban Thach River), so they reported it to the authorities.
Some residents said that the man’s body was gagged, his hands and feet tied. The victim is about 45-55 years old, wearing a blue short-sleeved T-shirt and black pants. Maybe the victim died about 1-2 days ago.
The victim’s identity was later identified as Mr. HX (52 years old, a local). The area where the body was found is about 2 km from the victim’s house.
At noon of the same day, the victim’s daughter was present at the scene crying, confirming that the dead man was her father. “My father left the house at noon on April 19 and did not come home. When he left, he still wore a blue suit and shorts.”
The case is being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
