The woman in Can Tho faked the red book, scammed hundreds of millions of dong

On April 20, the police department of Phong Dien District Police (Can Tho City) prosecuted the accused against Bui Thi Thuy Loan (41 years old, living in Truong Long commune) to investigate the act of “fraud to appropriate property”. and “Using fake documents of agencies and organizations”.

The police let the accused Loan be released on bail for investigation because she was raising a small child.

According to the initial investigation, the accused Loan did not have a stable job. Because she needed money to spend, in October 2021, Loan went online to ask someone to fake the red book according to the information and address of her biological father’s land plot. Loan hired someone to fake the red book for 75 million VND.

After having a fake red book, Loan met Nguyen Huu Hau (38 years old, living in Tien Giang) to borrow money, according to the agreement to have collateral, legalized by the contract of transferring the above land use rights.

On March 3, Hau transferred 267 million VND to Loan.

However, during the transfer procedure, the notary office suspected that the red book was fake, so it asked the Phong Dien District Land Office Branch to provide information. After checking, the Branch of the Land Office determined that the information about the land plot in Loan’s name was not in the archives, suspected of being forged, so it reported the investigation agency.

During the investigation, Loan admitted the crime. According to Hau’s presentation, the loan loan was introduced by an acquaintance. After looking at the red book and coming to see the land, Hau thought that Loan had assets, so he agreed to lend money.

Phong Dien district police have applied an order to blockade the bank account, in time to prevent Loan from using the money that has just been appropriated.
