USAID Vietnam, IM Group talk about developing digital human resources

During the seminar, Ms. Ann Marie Yastishock, USAID Country Director in Vietnam had a meeting with representatives of many organizations and businesses. The units mentioned solutions to support the development of human resources for digital transformation in the Mekong Delta and the digitalization process for small and medium enterprises.

The event announced the partnership between USAID and IM Group. This unit also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Vietnam E-commerce Association (VECOM), the Vietnam Women’s Union, the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Can Tho city and the Trustpay Joint Stock Company in the period 2022-2027 .

USAID plans to invest more than 40 million USD to train high-quality digital transformation human resources, including supporting IM Group to build a system of digital transformation centers throughout the Mekong Delta region. IM Group also cooperates with many organizations and businesses to build an ecosystem to promote regional digital transformation.

Ms. Ann Marie Yastishock said that through the seminar, she understood the issues that need support to promote human resource development in the region. It is expected that USAID will invest in organizing digital transformation training classes for businesses, focusing on women. The unit also promotes training of lecturers in digital transformation resources, and invests in trade promotion projects on digital platforms.

Also in the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Minh Duc – CEO of IM Group together with Ms. Ann Marie and Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Dung – Chairman of VECOM conducted the ribbon cutting ceremony to inaugurate and launch the IM Group Digital Transformation Training Center Can Tho . In the coming time, the unit will continue to expand and build training centers in the region and across the country.

The cooperation agreement aims to raise awareness and capacity on e-commerce, digital transformation training for Vietnamese businesses and members of five units; and actively and effectively participate in the National Digital Transformation Program until 2025.

IM Group will cooperate in training practical skills on e-commerce business and business transformation for members of major partners in Can Tho and Mekong Delta.

Digital transformation solutions include: introducing tourism products; agricultural products in the form of cooperative alliances (co-op) and digital transformation for logistics activities of rural producers and consumers.

Through the seminar, large units had strategic orientations in the future, brought timely solutions, and contributed to supporting businesses in the region to promote the digital economy.
