Doctors from the Burns Department, Saint Paul General Hospital said that baby H. was awake, had no signs of asphyxiation and respiratory burns, and had 2% burns on his right hand.

“I was sleeping when I smelled the burning smell, so I immediately got up and went downstairs to see. I saw my father standing outside, my uncle (Bui Ngoc K., 37 years old) and grandmother (Doan Thi M., 74 years old) standing there. 1st floor. Uncle told her to go upstairs, to the ground floor to avoid the smoke, but she couldn’t get up in time. Everyone went up quickly, but the smoke and stairs were burned, so hot, no one could go up. Father and son were the first two to go first”, said baby H..

Meanwhile, Mr. L.’s condition is getting worse and is being closely monitored by doctors. MSc Nguyen Nam Giang, Head of Burn Department, Saint Paul General Hospital, said that Mr. L. suffered from fire burns 16% (degrees 1, 2) and 6% (degrees 3), burns to his face, chest, and two hands. , 2 legs and respiratory burns, there is burning of nose hair and eyelids.

“The patient is likely to have CO poisoning, is currently in intensive care,Anti-shock, anti-infection, daily dressing change treatment. The patient’s prognosis for recovery is quite positive. We monitor the patient daily, based on the progress of the wound and test results, will adjust the medicine accordingly,” said Dr. Nam Giang.

It is known that the treatment costs of the two victims were fully supported by Saint Paul General Hospital.

At this time, there are 7 people living in the house. In addition to Mr. L.’s father and son, who were rescued, the remaining 5 people all died. In there, 4 victims died on the spot and the one-year-old boy still showed signs of breathing, was taken to Saint Paul General Hospital for emergency but did not survive.

Hanoi police said,The fire broke out during the night, and the cottage became small and narrow, causing the heat to rise and the smoke to rise rapidly.

Currently, authorities are investigating and clarifying the cause of the incident.
