A large fire broke out at a Russian military research facility, causing many casualties

According to RT, preliminary data from the rescue force said that at least two people were killed and 20 others injured in the fire.

Footage from the scene showed large plumes of smoke billowing from the upper floors of the building of the Central Research and Development Institute of the Aerospace Defense Forces.

The burning building has been evacuated, fire crews are currently working to put out the fire, RT reported.

According to preliminary data, the fire spread about thousands of square meters and caused part of the roof to collapse. The fire had started in one of the rooms on the second floor of the administrative building. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
