The accident caused the Hai Dat 36 ship to damage its bow shell, and the Phuc Tinh 26 ship to sink. Eight crew members on board Phuc Tinh were thrown into the sea but were fortunately rescued in time to board a rice vessel.

At the time of sinking, the cabin of Phuc Tinh 26 contained 2 tons of DO oil. The crew has not closed the oil shut-off valve, so there is a risk of spilling into the sea.

After receiving the news, Nha Trang Port Authority instructed the ship Hai Dat 36 to bring the crew to Cam Ranh port. Border Guard Squadron 2 and Dong Hai Border Guard station (under the Ninh Thuan Border Guard Command) deployed forces and vehicles to the scene to rescue and prevent oil spills, combat environmental pollution. sea ​​school.

According to Ninh Thuan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, after the inspection team surveyed the actual area where the shipwreck happened, no oil spills were recorded at sea, so they still monitored and made appropriate plans.

In case of oil spill detection, the provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment will activate the plan to handle oil spills on the coast in time, ensuring safety. In addition, Ninh Thuan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development issued an express document on the implementation of oil spill monitoring in Phan Rang Bay, requesting the Provincial Department of Fisheries to guide companies and shrimp hatcheries in the area.
