Continue handing over another 82 hectares to build Long Thanh airport
On April 21, the People’s Committee of Long Thanh district (Dong Nai) organized to hand over an additional 67 hectares of land (belonging to 1,810 hectares to build the airport in phase 1) and 15 hectares (722 hectares in phase) to the Airports Corporation of Vietnam. Nam (ACV) to serve the construction investment project of Long Thanh International Airport.
Thus, up to now, Long Thanh district has handed over to the investor an area of nearly 2,200 hectares to serve the construction project of Long Thanh airport phase 1. This is the land area that has been temporarily handed over according to the plan. form of handover between the People’s Committee of Long Thanh district and ACV and the representative of the Southern Airport Authority.
Mr. Nguyen Long Chau, deputy director of the Long Thanh District Land Fund Development Center, said that the total area of land recovered for airport construction is 4,946 hectares. Including 2,910 ha/5,541 households and individuals implemented by the Long Thanh District Land Fund Development Center (equivalent to 7,108 cases), accounting for 58.8% of the acquired land area.
The remaining 1,955 hectares/18 organizations (accounting for 39.5% of the recovered area) are used by agencies and organizations.
This area is compensated and cleared by the Land Fund Development Center of Dong Nai Province (withdrawn 1,898 ha/16 organizations; the remaining 2 organizations/56.7 ha are Binh Commune People’s Committees. Son and Hong Phat Construction Company Limited). The remaining 80.39 ha (accounting for 1.7% of the compensation area) is land for traffic, rivers and streams, excluding compensation value.
On the same day, leaders of Long Thanh District People’s Committee and professional officials directly entered the core area of Long Thanh airport to mobilize people to relocate soon to make way for land to implement the airport project.
According to the leader of Long Thanh District People’s Committee, households that already have land and resettled houses will move to a new house to live, while households that have not yet built a house will be supported by the government with the cost of renting temporary housing.
