Fire in 3-storey house in Hanoi, 5 dead

On the morning of April 21, a house fire with particularly serious consequences occurred in Kim Lien ward, Dong Da district, Hanoi, killing 5 people. dead.

According to initial information, the fire happened at about 1:13 a.m. on April 21 at a house with 2 floors 1 tum near B9 Kim Lien collective area, lane 65, Pham Ngoc Thach street, Dong Da district.

Immediately after receiving the fire alarm, the functional forces sent 4 fire engines, 1 command vehicle and many officers and soldiers to extinguish the fire.

According to some residents, there were a series of fire engines that arrived at the scene to fight the fire.

During the search and rescue process, the functional forces discovered 1 victim still breathing, taken to the emergency room at Saint Paul Hospital, but this person later did not survive.

Preliminary statistics show that 4 people died at the scene.

When the fire broke out, the people in the house were fast asleep, so no smoke and fire were detected.

At the fire area, Mr. Bui Ngoc L. and his nephew Bui Quang H. escaped to the roof of the 2nd floor next to the house, and the Fire and Rescue Police force deployed a ladder to bring the two people down to a safe location. whole.

On the 2nd floor, the police discovered Bui Gia H., (Mr. L’s son) still showing signs of breathing, took him to the emergency room at Saint Paul General Hospital. However, the victim later died at the hospital.

4 other people died at the scene including: Mrs. Doan Thi M. (SN 1948; head of household); Ms. Do Mai H. (SN 1985; daughter-in-law of Mrs. M.), Mr. Bui Ngoc Khanh (SN 1985, biological son of Ms. M.), nephew Bui Nam P. (SN 2012; son of Mr. L.).

By 1:23 a.m. the same day, the fire was completely extinguished.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
