Before that, in January 1626, Nurhaci led 130,000 horsemen to attack Ningyuan citadel, and the siege of the Jurchens officially broke out.

However, this time, Nurhaci’s maneuvering tactics were no longer effective against Yuan Chonghuan, a famous Ming Dynasty general from Guangdong who, from an early age, was boiling with the will to regain the lost Liaodong Peninsula. captured by the Nu Chan army.

The Later Jin army was quickly dismayed by the stormy artillery fire of the Portuguese artillery. Nurhaci was wounded, the Jurchens lost a great deal, and had to withdraw to Shenyang with a great loss of life.

In 1626, due to excessive labor, frustration and defeat before an unknown general at that time, plus old age and injuries, Nurhaci did not survive. Huang Taiji became the second Great Khan of the Later Jin Dynasty.

In October 1629, Huang Taiji, after focusing on consolidating his power, crossed the Great Wall from Xifengkou and entered the interior of the Ming Dynasty, bypassing Ningyuan and Son Customs, immediately aimed at the Imperial Citadel, used a cover-up strategy, and suddenly attacked Beijing, which was beyond Yuan Chonghuan’s expectations.

Hearing the news that the Imperial Palace was besieged, Yuan Chonghuan led thousands of troops to panic and retreat to Beijing. On November 20, after half a day of dramatic battle near Quang Cu Gate, Chong Hoan was able to repel the great Jurchen army and defend the capital Beijing.

Chong Trinh De, who was an emperor with a talent for grasping the situation and being on high alert, eventually fell into the counterintelligence scheme of Hoang Thai Chi due to his autocratic and suspicious habits.

Hoang Thai Chi intentionally spread fake news about the alliance with Sung Hoan under the guise of, and then released a prisoner, a eunuch surnamed Duong, to escape and report to Sung Trinh. Arriving at Tho Hoang communal house on the top of Canh Son, Emperor Sung Trinh left a message for Vuong Thua An: “Tru Duc is thin and cowardly, being rebuked by heaven, leading to treasonous robbers dragging him straight to the scribe, all caused by his servants’ harm.
