The Government also issued Resolution No. 11/NQ-CP dated January 30, 2022 on the Socio-economic Recovery and Development Program and implemented Resolution No. 43/2022/QH15 dated January 11, 2022. of the National Assembly on fiscal and monetary policies to support the Program, including direct and practical credit policies to support the development of social housing and housing for workers in the two years 2022-2023 .

According to the minister, according to incomplete aggregated data from local reports, the demand for social housing for low-income people in urban areas and industrial park workers in the 2021-2025 period. still very large, with about 295,000 new apartments to be built.

Meanwhile, up to now, the whole country has only completed 266 social housing projects, the construction scale is about more than 142,000 units, with a total area of ​​more than 7.1 million m2 (only about approx. 56.8% of the target set out in the National Housing Development Strategy to 2020).

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Ha Nam Provincial People’s Committee Truong Quoc Huy said: Ha Nam currently has 8 industrial zones and a number of industrial clusters in operation, industrial zones are mainly concentrated in Duy Tien town.

The number of workers working in industrial zones in the province is currently about 89,000 people. It is expected that when the IPs are filled, there will be about 100,000 workers. Therefore, the demand for public housing in the province is very large, especially in the vicinity of Dong Van I, II, III, IV industrial zones.

The development program in Ha Nam province towards 2030 sets the goal of gradually increasing the residential area of ​​the population, improving the quality of housing in the province, in which special attention is paid to housing. housing for social objects, especially housing for workers working in industrial zones, striving to solve social housing with about 705,000 m2 of floor space.
