Still the same type of villain this time is not new, but it is very new, very different because the villain wears a police coat – a corrupt policeman. For me – a retired police colonel, acting about the police is acting about myself, about my friends, my boss, and my teammates, so it requires a lot of reflection and torment.

Playing the role of Nhu Tuat, I thought about making Tuat become a man greedy for money, greedy for power, greedy for many things,… Regarding the role, any role will have praise – criticism. And I myself am not satisfied with the role in the movie.

The reason is that after I returned from making a film in the US, I had surgery on the larynx, touching the laryngeal polyps, so the recording process was because of special equipment. During the recording process, I asked if it was okay, and I said it was good, but there are times when the sound is lost when editing the film. Basically, I have never been satisfied with my role despite being recognized by many people. Because I think I still have many flaws, look at it to learn better later.

As he shared, the actor is not complete, the younger the actor, the more “reviewed”, praised – criticized. How do you personally comment on actors such as Ha Viet Dung, Cao Thai Ha, etc. in this film?

I think this cast was well chosen by the director. But there is no denying, “Underground Storm” is a criminal police movie, so the policeman’s style, command, and profession make young actors lose time to learn and of course are not demanding or too standard in them. Okay. Because they are not professionally trained.

Basically, Ha Viet Dung, a fashion model, and Cao Thai Ha are still quite young, so their efforts so far are commendable. As for art, even a veteran actor can “stumble” as usual. I think the younger the actors, the more they need to be supported. Don’t laugh when you see people are wrong, maybe you’re wrong but you don’t realize it. Only then will young actors be confident, not afraid to renew themselves, refresh their roles to confidently follow in the footsteps of the previous generation.

Temporarily leaving the screen, talk a little about your life after retirement, will it change?

I’ve always been passionate about acting, so in addition to acting, anyone who asks me to write scripts or stage shows I accept. In particular, I also joined the Hanoi Bar Association, mainly working for free, helping those in need, not asking for anything.

In addition, I also receive advertising for prestigious products, and the categorization also increases. It must be shared that since “Quynh dolls” there have been places hiring me to train “professional girls”, paying 300 million/month. Wow so much! After hearing that offer, I have to say: Sorry, I don’t know anything, that role was made by me. (Laugh)

I go to karaoke with my family and friends and learn what I see, but I can’t train girls in the industry. That role now asks me to act again, I also accept because I only go there to sing, sometimes I meet and share with security guards, restaurant managers and then fictionalize the character of Mr. Can!

Referring to the role that affects real life, People’s Artist Tran Nhuong once shared that the role of peach blossom fell on the person, so the love story did not go well. So what do you think about your years of working as a villain and villain?

Everyone has their own way of thinking and reflecting. For People’s Artist Tran Nhuong, it is his way of talking about the ups and downs of his love life. To tell the truth, any wife is jealous. If I put myself in the opposite situation, I would be jealous too. Jealousy is selfish to protect happiness but everything has a threshold. I say, it’s because they can’t keep that love. As for me, when I go or get drunk, I often ask my wife to come pick me up, then jealousy emerges. My wife is a classmate but she sacrificed for me to work. Wife always accompanies even gives advice because she is better professionally. I rarely call my wife but call me a friend, life partner, and fellow students who have given me a fulcrum, raised my children to be well educated, and taken care of my inner and outer world.

Sometimes I also feel sorry for her, I carry the body to take care of my passion, it’s not worth the money.
