Import and export through the deserted Lao Cai border gate

Kim Thanh International Border Gate Lao Cai province, after nearly 2 months of suspending customs clearance, import and export activities have been reopened. However, unlike the bustling before, customs clearance is quite dull, every day about 30 vehicles are exported, less than 1/5 compared to the same period last year.

The Lao Cai Economic Zone Management Board said that despite reopening after a long break, the main export items are still dry goods such as tapioca starch, peeled boards, coffee, etc. by van.

Other items agricultural other such as fresh fruit has not yet been cleared. One of the reasons is said that the Chinese side lacks a team of loading and unloading drivers.

Facing the above situation, the Lao Cai provincial government and law enforcement units at the border gate have been continuing to negotiate with your country to increase customs clearance efficiency. At the same time, it is recommended that businesses need to carefully research information, actively connect with customers to ensure goods are transferred when exporting to China to avoid damage.
