Investigate information on female student death after suspected robbery accident

According to initial information, at dawn on April 21, V. was driving a motorbike on Phan Van Tri Street, Go Vap District, from Nguyen Oanh to Thong Nhat Street.

At the intersection between Phan Van Tri Street – 3rd Street, Ward 10, V.’s motorbike crashed into a homemade buggy crossing the road.

The impact was so strong that V died on the spot. Both cars were badly damaged.

Upon receiving the news, Go Vap District Police were present to examine the scene and investigate the incident.

Worth mentioning, then on social networks, information appeared that female student V had her phone robbed, and when she chased the robber, she was injured. Witnesses around the scene also confirmed that at that time, the girl’s voice was heard shouting ‘robbery’, ‘robbery’.

Victim V’s family, sadly, said that the phone was an IPhone 13 that this female student bought 3 days ago from the money she had saved from her part-time job. When the accident happened, the police agency did not find V’s phone.

It is known that V is currently a 2nd year student at a university in Ho Chi Minh City.

A representative of Go Vap District Police said that about the information that the victim was robbed, he was chasing the victim, the police were verifying and clarifying.
