Light bulb factory discharges waste into the environment

On April 21, the Environmental Police Department and Dong Nai Department of Natural Resources and Environment excavated the drainage system and water cellar (using hazardous waste burial) in the premises of the Company’s tube lamp factory. Dien Quang bulb joint stock (Bien Hoa city) to clarify the act of discharging untreated industrial waste into the environment.
Yesterday afternoon, the authorities caught three workers of the tube lamp factory who were destroying hazardous waste (light bulbs) in violation of regulations. At the scene, nearly 5 tons of glass with chemicals contained in 195 bags and nearly 370,000 light bulbs that had not yet been crushed in plastic crates. Wastewater in the process of grinding the bulb is drained directly into the drainage ditch system.
Police also discovered two concrete tunnels built underground inside the factory containing industrial waste, suspecting that this is the amount of waste generated during the process of crushing light bulb shells that were dumped illegally.
Initial investigation, the above company is not allowed to collect waste for treatment; waste disposal without registration with the authorities; bury hazardous waste at the company’s premises.
