Brand recycling is exactly what Dutch fashion designer Duran Lantink does.

Have you ever imagined having a creative job, taking used parts from the biggest brands in the world and crafting a brand new product? This is exactly what Dutch fashion designer Duran Lantink does. For her Fall/Winter 2021 fashion show, the designer transformed clothing from Balmain, Balenciaga, Prada, Proenza Schouler, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Marine Serre, and many more, into sets. Brand new outfits, all upcycling – recycled.

The fashion industry is the second largest polluter in the world, leaving the industry in a race against time to reduce its impact on the environment. Some designers and brands are looking for alternative materials, such as recycled and organic fabrics.

Thanks to her innovation and creative prowess, Lantink’s work has been recognized in the industry: Lantink was a finalist for the 2019 LVMH Awards, collaborating with brands like Ellery and creating pieces. personalized for great artists like Billie Eilish and Janelle Monáe.

But things don’t stop there. Last year, the stylist launched a very ambitious project in partnership with Auverture to produce a jewelry range that unites two of the biggest companies in the industry: Tiffany & Co and Cartier.
