Mexican Navy chases drug traffickers at sea

Security forces video captures a high-speed chase at sea, about 270 nautical miles southeast of Manzanillo, Colima.

Mexican officials discovered a small vessel with three outboard engines. The chase also involved a helicopter of the Mexican Navy.

When the four people on the boat saw that security forces threw the packages of drugs into the sea, the four suspects were taken into custody and faced drug-related charges.

Death penalty for two traffickers of nearly 20kg of drugs

The People’s Court of Dong Nai province has just sentenced defendant Nguyen Van An (31 years old) and Nguyen Ngoc Long (27 years old) both of Trang Bom district to the same death sentence for illegal drug trading.
