On April 21, the whole country added 12,029 COVID-19 patients, reducing more than 1,000 cases
According to statistics of the Ministry of Health, the new positive cases of SARS-CoV-2 today were all recorded in the country in 59 provinces and cities (9,074 community cases).

On the same day, Dak Nong Department of Health registered 18,545 additional cases on the National COVID-19 Case Management System after reviewing and supplementing with sufficient information.
Thus, compared to yesterday, April 20, the localities that recorded the largest decrease in the number of new cases included: Gia Lai (168 cases), Son La (163), Vinh Phuc (104).
In contrast, the localities that recorded the highest number of new cases included: Hai Duong (140 cases), Dak Nong (105), Da Nang (75).
Since the beginning of the epidemic, Vietnam has recorded a total of 10,533,164 cases, ranking 12th out of 227 countries and territories. For the 4th outbreak alone (from April 27, 2021 to present), the number of cases recorded in the country is 10,525,416 cases and 9,074,110 patients have been declared cured.
Localities with high cumulative infections during this outbreak: Hanoi (1,537,814 cases), Ho Chi Minh City (607,793), Nghe An (478,198), Binh Duong (383,101), Bac Giang (382,069).
According to a report by the Ministry of Health, on April 21, 8,693 patients were declared cured of COVID-19 across the country. 9 deaths in: Dong Nai (2 cases), Dak Lak (1), Kien Giang (1), Lam Dong (1), Soc Trang (1), Tay Ninh (1), Tra Vinh (1), Vinh Long (1). There are currently 826 severe or critical patients in the country being treated with oxygen.
The Ministry of Health also informed that as of 4 p.m. on April 21, the country had completed more than 210.5 million doses of injections vaccines COVID-19 prevention. Coverage rate of nose 1 and 2 of people over 18 years old is 100%; nose 3 is 53.2%; coverage rate of nose 1 and 2 of children from 12 to 17 years old is 100% and 95.9%, respectively.
The number of doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered by localities to people aged 18 years and over is 192,755,792 doses, of which 1st dose is 71,417,953 doses; nose 2: 70.052,669 doses; additional nose: 15,086,305 doses; nose 3: 36.198,865 doses.
