The Ministry of Foreign Affairs arranged suitable personnel after the director of the Consular Department was arrested

Spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has arranged suitable personnel to ensure no interruption of professional work.

“I have expressed the official position of the State Department on this case as well as the position on anti-corruption. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has arranged suitable personnel to ensure that professional work is not interrupted,” Spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang said at a regular press conference on April 21 around the question of arranging replacement personnel. at the Consular Department, after the head of this department and a number of officials were prosecuted and detained.

Regarding the above case, the Ministry of Public Security is still continuing to investigate and expand the case that happened at the Consular Department, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Also at the press conference, before a number of foreign newspapers reported that trainees working in Japan had difficulty getting pregnant and returning home, Spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang said: The Vietnamese government policy of sending Vietnamese workers to work abroad to improve their expertise and foreign language skills. The government always cares about the legitimate rights and interests of Vietnamese people abroad.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs always pays attention to and directs the Vietnamese representative mission in Japan to keep in touch with the Vietnamese community, associations and companies dispatched here to help Vietnamese workers when there are difficulties.

Regarding the case in Japan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs requested the Embassy here as well as the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs to verify information, provide timely support and ensure the interests of Vietnamese citizens.

Answering a question about the protection of citizens as well as the protection of property of expatriates in Ukraine, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: “Confirming the highest priority of the Vietnamese Party and State in public protection work. Vietnamese people, property and legal entities in Ukraine”.

According to the Spokesperson, in that spirit, when there was tension in Ukraine in addition to the evacuation of people, the Embassy proposed to implement measures to protect assets as well as coordinate with Vietnamese associations. In Ukraine, appointing people to look after and protect property, minimize the loss of property of the people here.
