The West massively provided arms and financial aid to Ukraine
The US announced more aid military $800 million for Ukraine. Denmark and Spain pledged to send large amounts of weapons to Ukraine while Germany left open the possibility of sending heavy weapons.
U.S. president Joe Biden on April 21 announced a new military aid package for Ukraine worth up to 800 million USD. The leader said the aid package includes heavy artillery and 144,000 shells and many unmanned aerial vehicles, according to CNN.

Mr. Biden said that Russia has refocused its campaign on seizing new territory in eastern Ukraine, so Western arms aid is essential.
The leader said that the war is at a critical stage and pledged that the US would continue to share timely intelligence to help Ukraine defend.
According to CNN, this new aid will bring the total amount of US aid to Ukraine since the start of the war to approximately $3.4 billion.
The same day, the US Treasury Department announced that it would provide economic aid of 500 million USD to help the Ukrainian government pay salaries and other expenses for employees. The US also issued a ban on all ships related to Russia from docking in US ports.

Meanwhile, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez on April 21 arrived in Kyiv and met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The visit aims to continue to show Europe’s support for Ukraine after European Council President Charles Michel arrived in Kyiv on April 20.

At a joint press conference, Prime Minister Sanchez said that the Spanish naval ship was carrying 200 tons of military equipment, including trucks and ammunition, to Poland to be delivered to Ukraine.
Frederiksen pledged to provide military aid of 615 million krone ($90 million) to Ukraine and support further sanctions on Russia. The total value of Danish military aid to Ukraine so far has reached 146 million USD.
On the same day, during a visit to Estonia, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock responded to criticism for not sending heavy weapons to Ukraine. “There is no taboo for us about sending armored vehicles and other weapons that Ukraine needs,” Baerbock said.
German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht told NTV radio that an agreement had been reached with Eastern European countries under which they would supply tanks, armored vehicles and other weapons to Ukraine. After that, Germany will provide weapons to these countries.
According to AFP, Ukraine will receive T-72 tanks from Slovenia and possibly more Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled guns (made by Germany) from the Netherlands. Germany will train Ukrainian soldiers to use these cannons.
