‘Unbelievable tragedy’: Five people, dogs found dead at home in Minnesota

The bodies of five people and a dog were found at a Minnesota home Wednesday in what a police official called “an unimaginable tragedy.”

The Duluth Police Department said the unidentified people are related.

A suspect was among the dead, a police spokeswoman said.

It is not clear how five people died. The spokeswoman, Kate Van Daele, declined to comment on the cause of death.

The ministry said another police agency had notified authorities of a person with a weapon at the home where the bodies were found.

The department said several law enforcement agencies responded to the home north of downtown Duluth. During a search, officials found five bodies and the dog, the department said.

During a news conference, Duluth Police Chief Mike Tusken did not provide details on the nature of their deaths but described the incident as an “unthinkable tragedy that has befallen our community, one The tragedy was really very, very difficult for us.”
