Voice actor The Thanh of FFVN has passed away

Share with VietNamNet, the artist Huy Ho said a close colleague – voice artist The Thanh passed away on the evening of April 20, at the age of 64. Currently, his family holds a funeral for him at his home in Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City.

“Our colleagues were all shocked when they received the news. The Thanh is one year younger than me, so we have been close and attached since we worked together until now. She is a good, dedicated artist, a kind person. I left while the fire was still burning, village voiceover lost a veteran face”, voice artist Huy Ho shared.

According to Huy Ho, the late actor had a lung disease. After contracting Covid-19, his health deteriorated further. Many friends and colleagues heard that The Thanh was ill at the beginning of the month, but because he could not visit, he could only pray and wait for information from his family.

Over the phone, artist Bich Ngoc choked when she received bad news about her colleague. She said she would go with her colleagues and students to visit The Thanh after completing the recording work.

The sudden departure of The Thanh made many friends and colleagues in the voice acting world shocked. The voice actors Thuy Trang and Y Nhi said that in their memory, the late actor was a gentle person, always thinking about others.

The family representative also published the obituary of artist The Thanh to inform friends and relatives. The enthronement ceremony took place at 8:30 a.m. on April 21. On April 25, The Thanh’s coffin will be taken to be cremated at Phuc An Vien cemetery, District 9, Ho Chi Minh City.

Voice artist The Thanh was born in 1959 in Ba Ria, Vung Tau. He entered the profession as a dancer. By chance, he fell in love with the field of voice acting and has been with him ever since. Since the 90s, he and many colleagues have participated in dubbing TVB dramas in Vietnam.

Thanks to his strong and masculine voice, The Thanh was assigned to voice the main male roles of the top actors in Hong Kong.
