Regarding economic, trade and investment cooperation, the two sides have achieved many positive results, becoming a bright spot in the relationship between the two countries. In 2021, despite many impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic, the total two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and Denmark still reached US$842.37 million, up 18% compared to 2020.
In the field of investment, in 2021, Denmark has 145 enterprises investing in Vietnam with a total capital of 466.17 million USD, ranking 32nd among countries and territories investing in Vietnam. Only in the first quarter of 2022, with two newly licensed projects, including a Lego project with a scale of more than 1 billion USD, Denmark has risen to 22nd and is the third largest investor in Vietnam. in the year 2022.
Currently, Danish businesses are very interested in investing in Vietnam in areas where Denmark has strengths such as: recycled energy, agriculture, animal husbandry, food processing. The two sides committed to creating favorable conditions for businesses of the two countries to explore the market, seek cooperation and investment opportunities.
