Ho Chi Minh City proposes to suspend medical declaration when entering Vietnam

The People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has just issued an urgent dispatch, requesting the Ministry of Health to consider suspending the implementation of medical declarations for people entering Vietnam. medical (PC-Covid) during their stay in Vietnam as prescribed.

This is to create favorable conditions for people and tourists to come to or return to Vietnam, limit congestion at the border gate of Tan Son Nhat International Airport and continue to effectively implement the policy of “friendly respond safely, flexibly, and effectively control the Covid-19 epidemic”.

State the reason, Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee said that following Official Letter 1265 on epidemic prevention and control for people on entry of the Ministry of Health, the city’s Center for Disease Control (HCDC) has controlled the test results. and medical declaration of all people entering through the border gate of Tan Son Nhat International Airport.

However, through the implementation, in fact, there are still some cases of people entering the country who have not made medical declarations according to regulations. As a result, congestion at the airport occurs at peak times due to the large number of people entering the country and some cases of incorrect declaration.

Besides, now that the epidemic situation is basically under control, the number of new cases in Ho Chi Minh City tends to decrease.
