Hennessey – a famous American tuning company with a series of famous super pickups and supercars this week kicked off the handover of a new 6-wheel pickup project called Hennessey Mammoth 1000 6×6 TRX.
Only 12 of the Hennessey Mammoth 1000 6×6 TRXs were built with a chassis derived from what has been dubbed a pre-loaded super pickup: the Ram 1500 TRX.
While the Ram 1500 TRX “only” has a capacity of 702 horsepower, the Hennessey Mammoth 1000 6×6 TRX, as its name suggests, has a capacity in excess of 1,000 horsepower (1,012 units to be exact) conveying evenly to both 6 wheels and is one of the most powerful 6×6 pickups in the world.
To increase the car’s capacity by 300 horsepower, Hennessey had to replace the supercharger on the V8 engine to a more optimal type and perform a series of upgrades such as fuel injection or belt drive.
While the design of the front half of the car has only been upgraded from the existing frame, the rear half is a completely different matter with an extended tank and a 3rd axle added behind the original rear axle.
To own this unruly super pickup from the US, Hennessey Mammoth 1000 6×6 TRX users will have to spend at least $450,000.
