The 15-year-old golfer is open to winning the Vietnam National Championship

Minh took the lead from round 2, at -2 and leading by two strokes. The teen took the advantage to five with a 69-stroke third round, which included six birdies and three bogeys.

Right after that, Anh Minh was an amateur player – Do Quang Khanh – with an even par score. The top 10 after three rounds also recorded two more amateurs – Nguyen Dang Minh at T5 (+5) and Le Khanh Hung at T8 (+6).

The penultimate stage had five players with negative scores, the deepest being -3 including Anh Minh, Quang Khanh, Nguyen Thanh Hai, Dang Minh and Nguyen Quang Tri. In this group, only Thanh Hai is at the professional level (pro), the rest are amateurs.

Today, Anh Minh handled the back half well – taking five birdies and one bogey. The 15-year-old golfer still has not had a positive score since the beginning of the tournament with the lowest achievement being even par in the opening match on April 20.

In the Women’s bracket, Doan Xuan Khue Minh, with 69 strokes, continued to monopolize the top of the table (-5) and opened the advantage from three to six. Right after Khue Minh is still pro Nguyen Thao My (+1). The race to the Women’s championship is currently only these two players because the third place is 10 strokes away from Thao My.

VNC took place on Marsh, par72 of Vinpearl Golf Hai Phong with a bonus fund of 1.2 billion VND, of which one billion VND is for the male branch, the rest is for the female branch.

This is the second event at VGA Tour 2022 – a professional golf arena established and sponsored by the Vietnam Golf Association (VGA). Lexus Challenge opened its grand opening season, in March with championship belongs to Anh Minh with a score of +3. This result is a breakthrough for Vietnamese golf, when an amateur won a professional championship in the country for the first time.
