The most fuel-efficient Honda Civic model is available in Thailand

The most economical version of the new generation Honda Civic is available in Southeast Asia.

Honda Civic e: HEV sedan version has docked in Southeast Asia market while on display at the Bangkok auto show 2022. Not long after its debut in the European market, Honda continued to introduce the Civic e version. : HEV to customers in ASEAN region. Unlike Europe, where the hatchback version is distributed, the Honda Civic e: HEV was launched in Thailand with the sedan version.

Honda Civic Sedan e: HEV has almost the same design as the internal combustion engine variants. The only distinguishing features are the blue Honda logo and the e:HEV badging on the rear doors of the Civic e:HEV. On the RS variant currently on display in Thailand, the Civic Sedan e: HEV adds sporty details such as red badging, chrome accents, mirror caps, door handles and more painted details. black, prominent rear spoiler and 18-inch alloy wheels

Similar to the exterior, the Civic Sedan e: HEV RS is sporty with suede and synthetic leather seats with red stitching, glossy black accents on the dashboard, smart key, 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, 9-inch Advanced Touch infotainment screen, automatic air conditioning. Rear passengers have cooling ventilation slots, 2 USB ports, rear seats with a 60:40 split ratio. This version is also equipped with standard Honda Sensing ADAS safety and driver assistance system.

The car is equipped with a 2.0L 4-cylinder direct-injection Atkinson engine block and dual electric motors, for a total capacity of 181 horsepower and 315 Nm of torque. Comes with a CVT gearbox, the driver can choose between Econ, Normal and Sport driving modes.

In Thailand, the Honda Civic Sedan e: HEV is expected to cost from 1,150,000 baht, equivalent to more than 780 million VND for the EL + version and from 1,270,000 baht equivalent to 870 million VND for the RS version. This price is higher than the Civic Sedan 1.5 VTEC Turbo, starting at 964,900 baht (US$28,740) for the EL and 1,009,900 baht or VND 691 million for the EL +, despite having the same capacity.
